Singapore YOG 2010

Back from the YOG party @ Universal Studios. Time check : 11:59PM

I had a helllllllllll load of fun there I swear, I LOVE MY YOG TEAM!

The Universal Studios specially had the place opened till 12AM just for the YOG workforce to have fun there. Gosh I LOVE THE YOG!

So this is it, it's officially the end of the Singapore YOG 2010.

I remembered when I didnt even bothered much when I knew the first YOG was gna be hosted in Singapore, I remembered when they asked for volunteers I didn't even bother to think about it.

But fortunately, the school gave me the opportunity to represent our school to host our twinned country Kyrgyzstan in the Youth Olympic Village. And hell I think I was so fortunate to be chosen.

The 4 days in the YOV was tough at some times, standing under the hot sun, explaining to the athletes what and where Kyrgyzstan is. But in the long run, you get the experience the YOG DNA as the motto states, you feel the dedication in the volunteers, how they as one whole youth community contributes to this YOG success. You get to meet athletes from all around the world, knowing that they are just like you and me, youths with a dream. We interacted with the athletes, made new friends. It was really an experience. Socializing with the other schools, helping one other, we bonded. We really did.

This YOG journey has definitely made me more confident, physically and emotionally. I did something that I would never ever do in my life, due to my gutless heart. But I did, and I was so freaking glad I did it. (Thanks Natasha and Najlah, love you girls)

This YOG has definitely made the youths of today more connected, I bet everybody enjoyed their time at the YOG.

So this is it, the end of Singapore YOG 2010. This chance will never ever come to Singapore again in a hundred years or more, it's just such an honour to be involved in it which I initially took it for granted. So if you asked me now, would you have volunteered to be involved in the YOG? My answer?

Today's Universal Studios was just........ so great. We were crazy and running everywhere(hahaha kids...), going on the rides for the 10th time, taking crazy whacky photos, laughed at practically everything (BRYAN SPITTING HIS DRINK ON ME AH-HEM)

Thanks ESSS YOG Team for making this YOG extra extra memorable for me. I love you guys to death! So here's me, saying "GO TEAM KYRGYZSTAN" for the last time.

Thank you for giving Singapore a chance to relive this once in a life time dream.

Haha I know this post is long, wordy and cheesy but this is the only way I can express how fortunate I am to have this opportunity, REALLY!

No guitar classes this weekend so today was spent by studying alone in the nearby macdonalds. Everything went well except some foreign guy sat infront of me and chatted with the next table, super distracting.

Tmr's Sunday! September holidays are officially over and school starts on Monday. The whole week i was either at home or tuition. Tuition for a week in a row wasn't that bad really, my mom's spending alot of money on my tuition so i feel really bad.......... :(

Was on the phone with my GALFRIEND Leroyna who just couldn't stop playing the guitar while i irratated her with my pig squeal(boi boi boi boi boi boi) and laughing at parkway drive's "This is a volleyball!" haha love u gal(boi boi boi boi boi)

Today is September eleven btw, the world will never forget what happened 9 years ago. This doesn't make us any weaker, it made us stronger as a world on our own. Bless the heroes on that faithful day, you will be missed.

Crazy cramps ongoing in my body right now, almost died at the mall just now.

Guess what, my sci tutor postponed her tuition for next week to tomorrow! That means i've officially had tuition for 1 whole fucking week! RECORD!! This knocks down the PSLE 4 days in a row tuition from the 1st!

Frankly speaking, i'm quite excited for school.

Why can't i just be good in my studies, born-smart.

If only i was smart, my mom didn't had to worry about me failing my subs,

she didnt had to worry if i was struggling in school,

she didnt had to worry if i needed tuition,

she wouldnt even have to waste her money to send me for tuition.

After months of tuition, all i can give her is just an E8 in Amaths and C5 in Math.

Rethinking about my life, i regretted not studying harder for psle, getting into a better school, maybe i wouldnt have problem struggling anymore.

It makes me wanna punch the wall till my knuckles go numb when i get stuck on the first question i attempt, why can't the solutions just come to me naturally. Work brain, work.

Really wanna do well for my math, esp math. Please M, study as hard as you can.

Been at the Youth Olympic Village all day since morning, it's 11:20 and i just got back!

Had a kickass party at the YOV, dancing like there's no tomorrow(SLOW DANCE SLOW DANCE HAHAHA CLAUD) in ponchos!! hahaha what an experience but we live only once so yeah fuck it if i embarassed myself with not-very-smooth moves.

Hello gaise!

Went to Suntec Convention Centre(I think thats what you call that) for a YOG learning journey, to visit the booths etc. Turns out it's not even ready and we were like aimless stranded kids walking with a teacher that is dressed like a hiker(FBT)

Obviously quite a failed trip+waste of bus gas+waste of time

Not to mention our bus was horrendously cheapskate(windows that looked like they were falling into pieces, aircons so dirty that if you ever tried to adjust it you will get ur hands covered in soot, cramped seating place and a random insect flying around)

Oh well, the constant lame body jiggling jokes makes it all up for the horrible sfl trip.

Gotta stay back tmr to watch Mr Khan set up the tent for the YOG booth. Until 3!! What am I gonna do for the 2 hours interval break time :(

The weekend was greaaaaattt. MBS was awesome although we got hungry in the middle of the night.

Had the shock of my life on Sunday night, I left my macbook in the cab. Gosh I wished it was a dream at that time. Cried like 5 times in sch yesterday, and guess what... THEY FOUND IT!!

Yay comfort cabbies!! Thanks Aloysius for the endless spam of tissues, Celeste for the constant back rubbing and comforting, Darren, Engtuck and Wesley for the after school cry out, Ernest too but most of the time didn't help. Of cuz my 3 wonderful girls Shawn, Xuanning and Yuting for the streaks of positivity and held me on until the very end <333333333

Heyall. A lovely stress-free Wednesday for me, had floorball training in the afternoon and lunched @ Yoshinoya with Jazzy. No homeworks (exposed grin on the corner of my mouth)

Floorball was kinda tiring, moaning my way thru physical training and cheering loudly once a set of torture is done. Gosh the spirit showed by the floorball girls really make me kinda.. motivated? kinda not rlly. Their so united :)

Today's a beauty day for me hehehe TIME TO MAKE UP FOR THOSE STRESSFUL AND VIGOROUS-MIND MASTERING OF MATHS NIGHTS. Trigo test was today btw, it was managable, just that i totally figured out how to do the last(and most difficult) question just when Mr Ng broadcasted the end of the test. :(

Oh and i got promoted from EM3 to EM2 in my chinese class. I'm not so excited about it cause i like suileinator as my teacher cause he teaches like fucking good, secondly i miss my boys :( (HAHA PIMP)

I kinda miss Vernon, Shimin and Max, they make chinese lessons rolling-on-floor-laughing fun. Esp when we invaded Vernon's ez link card and me and Shimin laughed until the tables swayed and vibrated. Good times, good times(sniff)

Hi guys, sorry to go missing for a week.

Well first day of sch was really hectic, with the whole new timetable, gosh I need to memorize my timetable instead of flipping to my fullscap for it

And I got my braces in 2 days ago(for some of you who couldnt infer my previous post about " getting the metal in " (hint Eunice wink) )

Does it hurt? Yeah it does, I nearly shortened my life yesterday while trying to eat a bowl of tomyum noodles in sch.

Anyways, took some pictures with Janis yst and wanted to post it but i've no idea how to transfer photos from iphone to mac...

Hahaha anyway i love that girl, we could talk about practically anything. And thanks Janis for making me believe that you had a crush on a jap dude when its actually some anime char (utter disappointment)

Hey guys, went for my dental appointment today. Got like some rubber thing stuffed in between my molars(bonding). Didnt quite hurt, i actually like the pain at first. But now it's starting to hurt quite abit :( My sis says its gna hurt so bad the next day that you cant even brush your teeth. I guess no more good food for now(SAD FACE)

Hello people, I'm back from Janice's house from a 2hr+ intense, stomach urching, rolling on floor laughing, doggy licking, bed foreplaying, forcing each other to trade off our assets in monopoly with Hongyao.

Met up with Janice in the afternoon to catch up with our POA project, lunch at yoshinoya and tamp library yadayadayada

Went to jco and had my lunch which consists of 3 donuts and a couple yogurt and oreonaldo(soccer season fenzy) tasted soooooooo effing goood i swear. Donutgasm like a million times

Before going for dinner at 18chefs, had some quality time with Ruby, Janice's squirrel dog who is slightly obsese(hahahaha sorry)

Hongyao joined us later and we decided to play Monopoly!!!!!! It's been ages since I touched that game

Hongyao is so funny I swear, the way he trembles and hesitates while paying me 10million bucks for stepping into my property and me snatching it just feels so good hahaha

Its Thursday(actually Friday cause its 12.57am) already and im still here in the airport waiting for my flight, i know im supposed to arrive on Thursday morning at my 2.30am flight. BUT my mom thought it was a Thursday 2.30PM flight so yeah we missed the fucking plane...

Spent like $300 aussie to replace the tickets and another $700 aussie for our OVERWEIGHT LUGGAGES. 23KG overweight, 1 kg = $30. Jaysus I was practically swearing and cussing my guts out, whos that lil bastard who invented the whole $30 for 1kg overweight luggage charges?

$700 aussie is around $800 SGD. And i could do a whole lot more with $800 than satisfying that bastard's sadistic collection of sucking innocent overweighters of their money... CMON 30 FUCKING DOLLARS!?

Aight, so while waiting for our new flight(2.30am), we went to Brisbane's Queen St. Gawd I loveeee that place. THERE ARE LIKE A MILLION OF STORES AND I WOULD BUY EVERYTHING IN THEM IF I COULD. Man, they are like Topshop but a whole lot cheaper. Topshop's quality isnt all that great either actually.. The stuffs here are like wayy much superior compared in quality. Spent like $500-1000 on shopping and mostly on Supre. Oh my lord that shop is like THE BEST STORE EVER. Sorry Forever21 but Supre is way above you now. Although the stuffs there is kinda pricey ($40 aussie for a top), I still love it, its like Topshop standard NO JOKES! WE NEED TO HAVE A SUPRE IN SINGAPORE! FUCK YES!!!!

Bought lotsa clothes haha no more shopping till the end of the year seriously. I'm not even surprised if i had to live on plain bread for breakfast and porridge with soy sauce for lunch and dinner after the whole shopping-spree-that-basically-wiped-out-my-mom's pocket-like-hell.

Hello people, went to Roland Restaurant yesterday at Parkway Parade. Almost got lost in that area, we went up this creepy building which has the exact scene of those in horror movies where there are empty corridoors and random gusts of winds. Hahaha in the end we screamed while going down. Yay saviour Jeremy who decided to come all the way down to fetch us.

Did lotsa shopping with Jasmine. Lotsa lust items, probably spent like about $400 on shopping. No.More.Shopping.Till.June

Got these rlly pretty heels from flea for like $15, jasmine got her heels too haha am gna wear it out with her someday. Also, POA project on Sat, made cheesecake. We're supposed to sell cheesecakes to earn profit or something. This was just a try out to see whether our cheesecake turns out well. Well, it kinda did I guess. Althou it was a lil bit too sweet, as said by Minghua. Hehehe buy from us!! The next batch of cheesecake won't be thattt sweet, pinky promise. $3 for 1 buy 2 get 1 free LOL

Shopping the whole day with Brittany. It was hellla fun

Bought lotsa things happppppy ttm! Britt and I bought the same snake ring we've been looking for in ages!

Headache struck me at 5pm and my head was hurting like some mother fucker. Worst headache I've had all year. Mom drove me home and I slept for an hour with panadols before heading out again to meet the Lamberts for dinner at Marche. Rosti was awee as usual

Gotta wake up early tmr for some China-trip meeting at school and heading to Universals Studios after that.

I sat the bungy ride and swing(again) at Clarke Quay the other night, the bungy was soooo awe. The video's up on fb btw hahaha you're totally gna see my chuatio face, possibly orgasmic and me clinging on to anything around me just to get some comfort while up spinning 360 degrees in mid air. Honestly, it wasn't that bad at all. I'd say swing is so much scarier.

Exams are finally over. I don't feel good at all.

Most probably cause I know I won't do well for this exam. A feeling of reluctancy when handing the answer scripts to the teacher, am I the only one? But I knew I couldn't have done any better but I wouldn't say I did my best. Gotta work hard to year end

After the exams, we headed over to Seoul Garden to celebrate Harry's birthday. Hahaha that guy got pranked by me the other night, it was awe, COULDNT STOP LAUGHING

Threw flour at Harry after that at a random playground near tmall, haha I wouldnt be surprised if we made it to the headlines of Stomp after giving the playground a whitening makeover. But we did clean up after that :D

Head over to Desiree's house with Shimin for a "failed movie marathon". Watched Hana Yori Dango, OMG I LOVE THAT SHOW. Used to go crazy with my maid over that show. Shanti realllly loves Domyogi(sp?) while I hyperventilates whenever Rui comes up hahaha GIRLS.................

I swear I have to finish watching the whole sequel of HYD with Desiree(its like my 3rd time watching it haha), where me and Des will do this "frilly fingers gesture" and I will occasionally violate her on her legs cause thats her most sensitive area hahaha I'm sucha opposing badass.

Had the most awesome chocolate fudge, GAH I'm so going to Desiree's house every month when her dad brings chocolate cake home woohoo.

After that, headed over to Raffles Town Club to meet Brittany and her family, we went to this awesome wine and bar restaurant where they served the best grilled chicken and lamb and lotsa others! My camera died on me so I didn't managed to snap any food pics. THE BEST PART WAS WHEN EVERYBODY THREW PLATES ONTO THE GROUND. It was like a restaurant traditional. Gosh it felt sooooo good! The video shld be on facebook soonish hehe

Walking on broken glass was sooo much fun srsly. Reminded me of JB's S.O.S it's like we're walking on broken glass..

Survived my POA and SS revision yesterday with my yogurt. Thanks mummy :)

Anyways, POA was today. Surprisingly, I was able to smoothly balance out my accounts, which normally don't happen in practises. Careless is my middle name. It's either in the wrong column, calculations error etc. Completed the paper an hour earlier, was a breeze. Practically the only paper I'm confident of not failing.

There's like a million things in my wishlist to be ticked now, which will only probably be fufilled after exams. Can't wait. Life's actually kinda good right now

Hi lovelies, todays a not so productive stay-home Sunday.

I stayed home watching MTV all day, gawd Teen Cribs is making me feel so jealous. Kids like my age have a home that's like 1000x bigger than mine, bigass pool in their backyard, not to forget a massive field for horse riding and monster rides, a wildwildwet lazy river, having 52 tellies in their home, bowling alley in their basement, having your own private loft/apartment = your room in your very own house. Gah, those lucky rich kids. If I can have a house like that, I would like to have maybe penthouse for my room, slide from my window to the garden, paintings all over the stairway, black laquer kitchen, and a white and black themed living room with drapey curtains and glass as the walls. (snap back to reality bitch) K i'm good.

There's POA test tmr and i left my notes and textbook under the table, damn. I seriously need to start revising now and it just frustrates me when I can't do my math. Everytime I just simply forgotten the formulas, argh it makes me wna swallow a cow.

This year has unraveled many things that I could never imagine why people would do it, maybe it's bcause I haven't been thru it, but it just frightens me how the minds of these people work. How can they bear to hurt their friend like that, it just leaves me tongue tied.

When you don't have enough time to complete a test but you know you know how to do it
Yeah, that happened to me like a gazillion times and today.
So.. I was quite determined to pass my physics test since I failed the last and first physics test,
I SWEAR I DID STUDIED LIKE HELL.
And the dumbfuck paper setter HAD to give like what, 40 mins for a test which has like 10++ pages = maybe 5-7 section B questions. AND ITS LIGHT. like cmon everybody knows u cant complete a Light paper in sucha short time cause u have to draw those ray of light and calculate refractive index sini sinr shit. So....... u expect us to like complete 1 question in like 5mins. fuck yourself east spring

So anyway....... I'm into piano, hehe guitar lessons temporarily stopped for me bcos theres not enough people to start a new class so am waiting~

Sorry for the lack of updates, sch is hectic that i have literally no time to update my blog at all!
Sports day was on Thursday and it was a major disaster. The weather was cold and rainy and our house was.... well.. not the most enthusiastic house ever. Random people running across the tracks with bigass umbrellas and red rollers shelters...thing.. while the houses cheer their lungs out for the champion house. I think red(my house) was last, if i'm not wrong :( oh well, theres still next year.
Went out with Sissy yesterday to town for some sister-bonding time. Saw many lust items $_$
Earth hour yesterday @ 313, they had candles by each table at Food Republic, really romantic atmosphere which is quite awkward with my sister with me..

Failed study date at Geraldine's place today, slept and shared macdonalds with Desiree and Geraldine. Hahaha we slice mcspicy and filletofish into 3 parts, we're such rebels.

I finally got my modulus+graph into my head, hurraye.

Saw my CA marks, it was sucky srsly. Failed science :( My maths didn't fare too well either. 55 and 60 for E and A, or was it A and E? Gawd it doesnt rlly make a difference anyway cause the main point is, i didnt get an A for maths(far off from an A). Abit pressurizing, knowing that probably everybody in my class got many Aces and maths is a definite A. I need to put in extra effort for my science.....(im not gna blame my teacher but he really cannot teach physics, more than half of the class failed physics and not blaming roger for teaching me wrongly lol)

Hey all, school's rlly boring bcos i keep sleeping in class, am not the only one :)

Hai all, I spent my lovely friday afternoon having lunch with desiree and rachel and babysitting 4 kids who can't stop running in the middle of Orchard...

It's finally friday, it seems sooooo long although sch only started 3 days ago. 7am - 2pm feels like forever srsly, with boring classes like physics and poa which i dont even understand the topic we're currently learning. This whole week was hectic, haywired.

Sch was normal for this week. I passed my e math test(16/20) but no biggie cause almost everybody got flippin 20s ~OWELL~

After school was practically screwed up, I accidentally spilled 3e3's hamster's lavender bathing sand and i sacrificed my SS paper to clean it up!! (Best student of the year HAHA)

Softball and basketball competitions were held in the afternoon and 2 teams won ^^

saw keng joo as he was competing against my sch, what a small world that is.

Went to AHS to root for my class guys and the team, and I swear I saw a springfield basketballer(number 6) who looked exactly like Darren. srsly... literally the same. And jesus our sch's basketball coach was damn fierce srsly i kinda felt sorry for the guys who got scolded by him!!

I realized I've been stuffing myself with food everyday in class

What I'm really scared is losing them, becos I really love them and we've gone thru alot TOGETHER and I know this allocation of class thing really is in the way of doing what we've done together in the past 2 years.. I'll still make time for them, and thats probably one of my most important resolutions(Stay Connected) of the year. There's no more of going to Shawn's seat when waiting for the teacher to arrive, no more grouping with my innovative Yuting(HAHA were invincible together!), no more "Nyaaaa" by Xuanning. No more shouting Shawn's name across the class room asking for her mirror, no more Yuting's "What if..." questions. :(

Wasabi guys! Maverlyn is back from her christmas camp!!(self-enthu)

The camp was great, i love the food(some), and the people there are nice. Met alot of new friends like, Joling, Jeremy, Claire, Anne-Marie, Jean Claude(Nick Jonas), Jamie, Ben, MEOWvyn.
Lots of cheesy and funny games(sausage baby ^^) Had alot of fun!
Stayed up with Joling for both nights until 3am. She's awesome and she's totally like myself.
Dirty and fun. We chatted for hours like we've known each other for like forever. Had some h2h talks with her.
Only had 6 hours of sleep in 2 days. hardcore
Decorated our christmas tree, and oh I'm in Team Peace(They know me so well!)
There's concert night on Day 2, so we sang Holy Night with a lil twist of TiK ToK by Kesha at the end with Jeremy's step-guitarist spasm face in between(holy crap that was epic i swear)
and we had to do a skit too so we showed how jeremy and byron fought for the last piece of turkey and jesus came and told us some cheesy stuffs and took the last piece of turkey(bet you'll be like whaaaaat?)
Jeremy went self-high when playing murderer and hid in the closet every 2 seconds(don't ask..)
Ohoh Day 2 includes Mini Olympics(Cheapo short putt which includes throwing of tissue paper)
and swimming(not planned but we complained abt how the weather is fucking killing us)
